The Story Behind Journey to The Emerald Cup

Jackie decided to compete in a figure competition in July of last year.  She has always worked out but never been in this kind of shape.  She is a personal trainer and has extensive knowledge of nutrition, but this competition has brought it to an entire new level.  It's amazing the misconceptions that people have about people that are in shape, workout or just plain skinny.  Jackie tells her story in this interview of how hard it really is to do this.  The people in these competitions are not just "gifted" as skinny people...they work hard at it.  The eat 7 times a day!  Yes that's right ladies...to get in shape you have to eat!  whaaaaaaat?????

Jackie hopes to not only accomplish her goals but to inspire others as well.  I think she is well on her way of doing that!

Competitive Edge was nice enough to let us borrow the gym for a couple hours.  We also requested that they turn the lights off in the gym.  Fortunately it was early on a Sunday so this really wasn't a problem.  I used a single light to spot my shots with the help of my key grip Wes...thanks Wes!  For the dolly movements I used a slider that my dad made for me, which brought an entirely new demention to my filming!  Wow!  Both of these techniques coupled with my new Cannon 60D made this movie take on a beautiful life!
