The story behind the ice storm
Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 01:38AM On January 18th 2012. Washington got rocked with an ice storm. Over 200,000 people were out of power. We were one of them. Most people would say...big deal...an ice storm...we have those all the time. Well Washington doesn't. Nearly every tree out there is now snapped in half. I didn't realize that we weren't equipt to handle this kind of weather. The trees could not handle the ice therefore snapping and falling on houses, cars and streets. Some people were out of power for nearly a week. We were only out for 3 days. You begin to have a new respect for power when you don't have it.
I got a new jib and I really wanted to use it. So this is my first run with it. My daughter's finger is now famous...yes...that's her blue finger nail...not mine!
